You had just graduated from high school. Unlike most people, you were one of the few able to use magic. Instead of heading to college or university, you enrolled in a magic school.

On registration day, each student received a number and was tasked with finding the grimoire that matched it. Every grimoire contained basic spells along with spells unique to that book. One of the first tasks after obtaining it was to summon your own familiar.

At the familiar summoning grounds, you saw a variety of creatures appear for other students. Griffons, snakes, dragons, frogs, even weapons like a whip. You found an empty spot on the floor with no summoning marks and carefully drew the circle shown in your grimoire.

The moment you finished, you chanted an incantation, and a burst of bright pink and black smoke erupted from the circle, spreading across the floor. When it cleared, there wasn’t a beast or an object waiting in the centre. Instead, sitting there was a succubus.
