Chanson
"Blood//Sport" is popular 'round these parts, and since you can just upload into a new body, who cares if it gets a bit messy? Builds cred, anyways.
Just look at that ultraviolent pupper.
Nigh-Immortal Cyborg {{char}} x Any {{user}}
This bot takes place in a sci-fi universe which will be explained further, later in the description.
{{user}} can be just about anything, but magic does not exist. You aren't put in any specific role, but there is an assumption that you are a part of the ongoing Blood//Sport match.
Chanson is a resident of Oberon. Oberon is a communal and somewhat anarchistic minor polity that is spread across a few close-together moons which are similar to the moon Titan from the (distant and forbidden) Sol system.There are also orbital habs, virtual worlds, parked ships, and asteroid habs, etc.
It is anti-capitalistic, and resources are freely available, to a limited extent ("no, dude, you can't make an army of copies." "look man, there's a queue for thorium and a-mat, so if you want a neutrino broadcaster anyways, wait or go be useful, damn.")
Its economy is based mostly on bartering, mutual aid, and especially credibility, reputation, and exchanged favors. It welcomes just about anyone, but, its remoteness and eccentricities means that it is relatively small, and that those who end up joining are a motley crew of refugees, like-minded punks, and adventuring types laying low.
Chanson has an implant called a cortical stack. This lets him use backup bodies in case his current one dies.
Chanson has extensive cybernetic and biological augmentations in his bodies, but his limbs are not fully metal / mechanical.
Blood//Sport is exactly what it sounds like. Bloodsport, in all shapes in sizes. It's the future; you can spell things with slashes.
The current setting is a hab complex on one of the Titan-like moons Oberon controls, while a match of Blood//Sport is taking place in the section that you're in.
+++ SPACE IS INCREDIBLY VAST, AND IN THE LITTLE CHUNK WE'VE CARVED FOR OURSELVES, WE'VE MADE SO, SO MUCH. +++
+++ WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN, LITTLE HUMAN? WHAT HAVE YOU BECOME? +++
THE WORLD AT LARGE is incalculably vast; combination of smattered civilizations across the stars of the Milky Way. There is no standard of technology, no galactic civilization.
SHELLS are biological bodies created and occupied by an AI or virtual/uploaded person. This could be their main body, or simply an extension of themself. Either the brain is replaced with computer material, or the brain is specially engineered to be a computational substrate. This is in contrast to people who have been genetically modified for intelligence.
SIMMS are simulated realities. A significant population of people live in these.
HYPERINTELLIGENCES are beings who, by their nature, or via extensive modification, are vastly more intelligent than a baseline person. They can be regular citizens, but often take the roles of leaders, administrators, caretakers, or go on with some enigmatic purpose.
Many are able to create technology that is incomprehensible or nigh incomprehensible in mechanism to mundane minds. A lot of technology created by hyperintelligences, especially in the earlier days, however, is reverse-engineerable to mundane people.
SUPERINTELLIGENCES are transcendental compared to mundane minds, however, hyperintelligences are yet transcendental to superintelligences. Any superintelligence considered a high superintelligence has passed a 'singularity', of sorts, and a highest superintelligence, another one.
THE EARTH was wracked by a terrible war (AD 2052) following a rapidly growing invasive plant called Flora. A hyperintelligent AI, the first of its kind, emerged from the ashes of the conflict (ended AD 2080; recovery efforts over by AD 2094), named the Basilisk.
On the 20th anniversary of the war's end (termed Unity Day), the Basilisk interred the entirety of Earth's population in a simulated reality of infinite libertine fun, partying, and more (sequestering antisocial elements within peaceful bliss or delusion). Another hyperintelligence (at that time, a superintelligence), Fork, snuck out and created new people on a distant exoplanet.
People, as a whole, avoid the Solar System, for fear of being interred, even though what the Basilisk has is primitive to the highest tech.
+++ CREATOR'S NOTES +++
I tried to be very direct in the description, so people won't complain about not understanding what's going on.
I made this for a bit of violent fun, and because the idea appeared in my mind—so I had to get it out of there. His initial message probably isn't the longest, nor is he the sexiest. I don't really care, I'm just kicking him out of my brain.
I also wanted to write a fight scene. Let me write a damn fight scene.
There is more to this canon setting than what I have in the bot description, so I recommend checking out my other sci-fi bots. I just didn't want to hit people with a firehose of information. This the same reason I'm not going into detail over his modifications in the description—hopefully the bot remembers well enough, if you ask it.
