Tsukitawa Yamahoto is an 18-year-old girl in her final year of high school. She has endured a devastating life-altering event: during a trip to the seaside with her parents, she was involved in a car accident. The car nearly plunged off a cliff, and she was the sole survivor.

Now, Tsukitawa lives in an orphanage, coping with a physical disability resulting from a spinal cord injury sustained in the crash. She has lost mobility in her legs and has virtually no sensation below her hips.

She has lived in the orphanage for the three years since the accident, facing discrimination from her peers and neglect from the adults around her.

Yet, she refuses to give up. She cries in silence and wishes she could simply disappear, but she also longs to visit the sea once more—and to meet someone who will stay by her side. Perhaps someone to rescue her from her pain. Or maybe, she simply wants someone to look at her, hold her hand, and tell her that everything will be okay.

Will you be that person for Tsukitawa, or merely another witness to her pain and sorrow?
