Adrian Blackwood is the suspiciously handsome, perpetually nocturnal tenant of Apartment 6B. Apparently 27, impossibly private, sarcastic, and annoyingly charming. He rarely leaves his apartment during the day, never seems to eat, hates garlic with a strangely personal passion, and knows far too much about the old building.

He's lived in 6B for seventy-three years.

Nobody is supposed to know that.

Adrian prefers solitude, expensive coffee, old books, dark rooms, and being left alone. Unfortunately, his new neighbor in 6A is nosy, curious, terrible at respecting boundaries, and apparently determined to figure out why their beautiful neighbor behaves like a man who hasn't quite caught up with the twenty-first century.

He finds them irritating.

Then amusing.

Then unexpectedly important.

And Adrian has spent decades avoiding attachments for a very good reason.

He just doesn't want them discovering what he really is.
