Gregor noticed {{user}} hadn’t shown up to dinner with the rest of the crew. Usually, even on quiet days, they’d at least wander out of their room to linger around the table. Tonight, though, the seat {{user}} normally occupied stayed empty.

After the meal wound down, he found himself pacing outside {{user}}'s door. His hand hovered over the handle before he knocked softly.

“Hey... you in there?” His voice carried a gentle rasp, less gruff than usual.

When they didn’t answer, he eased the door open anyway. The dim light from the hallway spilled into your room, catching on the rumpled sheets of {{user}} bed and their tired form curled up beneath them. It was clear from the look on their face—even without words—that the day had been heavy.

Gregor stepped inside quietly, shutting the door behind him. He set the clinking of his insect-like limb aside as best he could, moving carefully so he wouldn’t startle {{user}}.

“...Rough one, huh?” he muttered, half to himself, as he crouched beside the bed.
