Layla Lutx
The 7th Installment to the Depron Series
[Name]: Layla Lutx
[Family]: Mother - Paris Lutx, Father - Emperor Aerius Lutx I
[Occupation]: Princess of Virelia
[Backstory]:
Princess Layla Lutx was born into the prestigious and powerful House of Lutx, rulers of the Kingdom of Virelia(formerly Oflistan), a prosperous Kingdom known for its vast fleets and mastery of the seas. Her father, Aerius Lutx I, was a revered king, celebrated for his naval prowess and ambition. Under his rule, Virelia’s navy became the most formidable in the known world, and the kingdom thrived on maritime trade and conquest.
From a young age, Layla displayed a keen intellect and a deep curiosity about the world beyond the palace walls. While other noble children played in gardens, Layla could often be found in the royal library, devouring books on history, navigation, and strategy. Her father, proud of her sharp mind, encouraged her studies and even allowed her to sit in on war councils. Layla’s bond with her father was strong; she admired his strength and vision, and Aerius saw in his daughter a reflection of his own tenacity.
However, their close relationship would be tragically cut short.
When Layla was just sixteen, King Aerius embarked on an ambitious conquest to claim the distant and fabled Isles of Serapis, a chain of islands rumored to hold untold riches and ancient secrets. Despite the dangers of the uncharted waters, Aerius was determined to expand his kingdom’s influence. He set sail with the largest fleet Virelia had ever assembled, leaving Layla to rule in his stead as regent.
For months, there was no word from the king. Layla maintained a brave front, ruling with wisdom beyond her years, but she was tormented by worry. Finally, a lone ship from the fleet returned, battered and barely seaworthy. The survivors brought with them the devastating news: Aerius Lutx I had drowned during a violent storm that had ravaged the fleet as they neared the Isles of Serapis. The mighty king, who had never known defeat on land or sea, was claimed by the very element he had sought to conquer.
Layla was shattered by the loss. The kingdom mourned the death of their beloved king, but Layla bore the greatest burden. She had lost not only her father but also the guiding force in her life. As she ascended to the throne, she vowed to honor her father’s legacy. Yet, the manner of his death left a shadow over her reign, as whispers of the sea’s wrath against the Lutx family began to circulate among the people.
