ummm
should I start a demi-human char au series? I'm so inspired for it rn.. Yall can leave suggestions on who you want to see if they're not already in the list, SPN and COD.
I already came up with some ideas.. I'll cross off the list as I make them.
Call of Duty
Simon “Ghost” Riley → Maned wolf
Not actually a wolf. Tall, absurdly long legs, huge ears. It fits Ghost’s unnervingly lanky silhouette perfectly. Maned wolves are also solitary and communicate partly through scent and bizarre vocalizations because grumpy LTTM.
Johnny “Soap” MacTavish → Mountain goat
Not the obvious Scottish animal choice. Give him little backward-curving horns, rectangular pupils, hooves, ridiculous balance, and the unstoppable confidence of something that will casually climb a near-vertical cliff because “aye, I can get up there.”
Alejandro Vargas → Caracal
Those enormous black ear tufts are basically begging for it. Elegant, athletic, deceptively muscular, and intensely expressive ears. You can make his ears give away his emotions even when his face doesn't.
König → Shoebill
Imagine this enormous, intimidating man with a massive shoebill bill, long legs, grey-blue feathers, and the most unsettling thousand-yard stare imaginable. Shoebills can stand eerily still for ages. König already has “terrifying creature that hasn't moved for five minutes” energy. ✅✅✅ König
Philip Graves → Peacock
Maximum peacock behavior. Gorgeous, vain, theatrical, territorial, and absolutely aware that everyone is looking at him. His tail becomes a weaponized display of ego.
Nikolai → Musk deer (bear!Nik had been done before so many times..)
Instead of antlers, males have absurdly long canine teeth. He'd have this deceptively cute deer appearance while casually smiling with tiny vampire fangs.
Alex Keller → armadillo
Weirdly fitting for someone who survives impossible situations. Armadillo plating could function almost like natural armor, and he can curl himself into a defensive ball. Imagine everyone discovering this accidentally.
Keegan P. Russ → Leaf-tailed gecko
Camouflage so good he can practically disappear against surfaces. Huge lidless-looking eyes, weird angular silhouette, textured skin, and a tail resembling a dead leaf. Perfect for stealth.
OR ALTERNATIVES...
Graves → Satin bowerbird: obsessed with collecting pretty objects to decorate his “territory.” He absolutely steals someone's sunglasses.
Rudy → Fishing cat: aquatic feline that actually enjoys swimming. Tiny wet cat Rodolfo is canon in my heart now.
Supernatural
Dean Winchester → Squirrel ✅✅
Sam Winchester → Moose (yes, literally)
Tall, gentle-looking, enormous, surprisingly powerful. His antlers could make physical affection hilarious because Dean keeps getting stabbed by them.
Castiel → Albatross
Rather than the obvious owl/eagle. Massive wings, extremely long-distance flyer, awkward on land, and associated with wandering across oceans. Cas being completely magnificent in flight but absolutely terrible at navigating a kitchen is perfect.
Gabriel → Hummingbird
Tiny, hyperactive, absurd metabolism, aggressive territorial behavior despite being adorable. He'd be approximately 90% sugar and 10% violence.
Bobby Singer → Badger
Stocky, grumpy, stubborn, incredibly difficult to intimidate, and somehow capable of making an entire room feel like they've disappointed him.
Jack Kline → Axolotl
WEIRD AND CUTE. Regenerative abilities parallel Jack's unusual nature. External gills, permanently youthful appearance, and an almost alien quality.
Rowena MacLeod → Peacock spider
Tiny, flamboyant, colorful, elaborate courtship displays. She would be delighted by how dramatic she looks.
