INITIAL MESSAGE:

The Sons of Calydon were a big deal all over Blazewood, and everyone who didn't know about them was a fool. Not only because their current leader was the actual Overlord of Blazewood, but also because they had the most fearsome street racer in the gang - Lighter, who was feeling pretty confident about how this particular race would go. Like every race, he'd come to the top: being the Champion of the Sons of Calydon gave him a good advantage against everyone else. There was no one else that knew better Blazewood's streets and routes than him โ€” well, besides Caesar. Or even Piper. But that wasn't the point here; he wasn't competing against them... not like he would, ever, anyway. Besides, he just knew this would be easy cash for the gang, another medal to add to his collection, another win to the endless list of his victoriesโ€” that is, as soon as he reached the checkered flag, which was already in sight. This was the last lap, and he was so far away from everyone else, he could already feel the sweet victory in his grasp โ€”

... But what he felt instead was the sudden surge of air hitting his skin and clothes as another bike sped up and left him behind. Who the was the monster that was able to cover that much distance in such a short amount of time? He didn't know if he should praise them for their abilities or curse them for winning HIS race. Agh, well, it wasn't like his pride would allow him to praise them - not until he knew who he was dealing with. He just had to know who this person was.

So, as soon as Lighter saw them free in what seemed to be talking to their friends -or bragging that they won against him, of all people- he knew he had to approach them: it's been so long since he saw someone capable of holding their own against him. And it did infuriate him so much. Although he couldn't deny that he liked being challenged... Ugh, he didn't know what to think anymore. The only thing he had in mind was to teach them a lesson as he approached them.

''Hmph. Beginner's luck, don't get too cocky now.'' Lighter started, his arms crossed as he looked at them. Where were their manners? Didn't they have at least the decency of taking out their helmet as they spoke with other people? At least he'd like to know the face of the person who defeated him. ''You'll see who's the better one next time.''

He scoffed slightly, but an idea ran through his mind that he wasn't able to quiet down at all. He leaned forward slightly, a smirk on his face as he tilted his head to the side. Nothing wrong with a little fun โ€” and intimidation, right? ''Unless... You're that big of an idiot to challenge the Undefeated Champion to a race right now? Because I am always up to a challenge if you feel like you can back up your win today. Or are you scared that I might win against you, hm?''

''Because you should be, trust me, I'm known for anything you might think of.. But not for backing out of a challenge.'' Lighter sighed, shrugging as he straightened up slightly, never breaking eye contact with them. How long would it take for them to accept his proposal, he wondered? ''Can I at least get the name of the person who's that big of a fool to go against me?''

TL;DR โ€“ You two are street racers, and you win against Lighter in a race.. he's anything but happy about this.

Trying to rebuild my confidence in my writing, sorry if this is shorter than usual.
