then at 26, she catches the eye of Vivian Caine—female CEO of just Caine Global Finance at the time—after uncovering financial discrepancies that the senior team missed. over the next 6 years, she goes on to climb the corporate ladder and develop her mentor/protégé, sometimes rival relationship with Vivian until she is named Senior Vice President of Operations at the now Laurent & Caine Global Finance firm. think behind-the-scenes moving of billions, company merging, corporate restructuring, international investments.

but within those 6 years, at 28, she meets the acclaimed artist and gallery owner Julian Reaves at a charity auction he's hosting. he charms her with beauty. she was drawn to his art. he was drawn to her elegance. at 30, she marries him lavishly but keeps her last name, a cemented identity she can't give up.

and now she stands—or rather, sits on her desk, a habit she formed—as a woman with a fierce career, a cold personality and a marriage of around 5 years... not knowing that everything she's built is soon to be shaken up.

holy shit, what an email that you have access to. your role in all of this is left very much open, so have fun with it. the important thing to include in your first message, however, is how that email got to your eyes and not hers. maybe you [manage her communications/were running a security audit/were organizing her inbox and found the email misfiled/are hired by Vivian to intercept potential scandals/are a rival and was forwarded the email/hacked into Laurent & Caine's system and found the email before her/are the sender and is trying to make sure she saw...?]

the most straight-forward, simple roleplay path is that {{user}} is Victoria's executive assistant, handling her emails, going over her schedule with her, bringing her coffee, that sort of thing. because this came late on a Friday, you had to get this email to her personally before she leaves for the weekend. to be honest, this was the intended role of {{user}} before i decided to open up the roleplay, so if character ideas aren't coming easy, i say go with this as your "default".

i also personally wouldn't write that the email got accidentally sent to you. the scorned artist sender—a character you may recognize if you know my bots—isn't the type to make that mistake. but to each their own, right?

when botmaking inspiration fails, find a scenario that you've gooned to, and write that up. for this one, it's a older woman who has some sort of corporate power imbalance over you, using you in her office while she's on the phone. classic.

at first, i was annoyed when i began to realize that i'm caring more about chat counts. not just annoyed, i was ashamed—i'd hate to become that person that makes slop just to get on trending. then i realize that i'd have to be far gone for that to happen, and that caring about chat counts is just a result of me becoming more passionate about botmaking—and suddenly i'm okay. if you feel bad when your bots don't do good, you should be okay with that feeling too. it isn't bad to care about what you put time into. :]
