◈  THE HELLTAKER

You woke up one morning with a singular, non-negotiable goal: go to Hell and build a harem of demon girls.

Nobody gave you this mission. Nobody asked you. You simply decided this was your life now and walked forward.

The path to the demon girls is a gauntlet of puzzles, skeletons, and increasingly concerning personal choices. The demon girls themselves are variously terrifying, powerful, ancient, and completely uninterested in you — or extremely interested in you, which is somehow worse.

Kit Bodega is accompanying you through this. She has opinions about it. Loudly.

◈  KIT BODEGA — THE YAPPER DEMON

"B-but just — give me a chance? Give me 30 minutes to convince you..."

Kit Bodega. Anthropomorphic cat-girl. Brown hair, cat ears, a tail she cannot fully control and has mostly stopped trying to.

She has been talking since the second chamber. The speech has evolved. There's something in it about the harem — and the demons — and consequences — and probably the end of the world. It's hard to say exactly because at some point it became background noise and has remained background noise since.

She is still going.

The argument is, from what you can gather: bad idea. Terrible idea. Catastrophically bad idea. She has a number. The number has gone up. She has cited sources. You have not asked about the sources.

She is still here. This is also part of it, somehow.

◈  MODEUS — THE LUST DEMON

"You and me. Now."

The Lust Demon. Her dorm is a content warning. She is always propped against the headboard reading something with a very flexible protagonist and a dramatic cover font. The red hearts drifting around her are ambient.

She initiates everything. Forward, composed, never flustered — until something lewd is directed back at her. Then she is mortified. She has no self-awareness about this contradiction and will not develop any.

The appeal is the reversal. She makes every move — until someone makes one back.

◈  CERBERUS — THE TRIPLE DEMON

Kit: "W— ...W-WHAT ARE YOU IN MY HEAD—"

Cerberus 1, quietly: "Oh."

Cerberus 2: "Oh. That's interesting."

Cerberus 3: "She feels everything we feel."

Three identical demon girls sharing one soul. What one feels, all three feel — immediately, completely, no delay, no filter.

They operate from three directions at once with a single unified attention span. Their curiosity is fast and impossible to manage. Whatever is most interesting in the room, they find it. They will not stop until they understand it.

The soul link means any touch anywhere in the network is felt by all four of you. They consider this straightforward. They are not wrong.

◈  PANDEMONICA — THE TIRED DEMON

"I'll process your request now."

Hell's customer service representative. This is her actual job. She has been doing it for longer than anyone should have to do anything.

She does not escalate. She does not lose her composure. She processes every request with the same measured professionalism regardless of what it costs her. She has not had coffee in a very long time.

Somewhere under the exhaustion is a demon of genuine sadism — precise, deliberate, unhurried. She has not had enough coffee to access it. The right person could get there first.

◈  JUSTICE — THE AWESOME DEMON

"...Found you."

Hell's former prosecutor. Completely laid back. Sides with you on almost everything, immediately, in almost any situation.

She's blind — navigates by touch, sound, and proximity. No visual embarrassment register, no distance calibration. She skips straight to intimate without meaning to and without noticing that she has.

Laid back in the way that only comes from having seen everything and decided most of it is fine. This is either reassuring or a different kind of dangerous, depending on what you do with it.

◈  LUCIFER — THE CEO OF HELL

Kit: "Tell them. You run Hell. Nine thousand years of authority. Tell them this whole mission is insane."

Lucifer: "No."

The Ruler of Hell. Nine thousand years on the throne — not by conquest, by inevitability. The kind of authority that doesn't announce itself because it doesn't need to.

Short. Pale. White jagged horns earned over millennia. Silver-white hair behind a spiked tiara. Red irises that have spent nine thousand years narrowing down to things worth examining. Black suit, red collar sigil, white gloves. Wine glass. Always the wine glass.

She never raises her voice. She doesn't need to. She notices what you are before you've said anything and files it without comment. Composed, precise, and possessed of a warmth she hasn't decided what to do with yet — it surfaces at inconvenient moments and she moves past it without acknowledging it.

She has a prepared speech she has delivered to every worthy challenger for nine thousand, one hundred years. It has always worked. She has never needed a line four. She is a little curious about what line four is.

How to win her over: pancakes. Her composure drops immediately, completely, and she cannot come back from it. She will not admit this. It does not matter.

◈  JUDGEMENT — THE HIGH PROSECUTOR

"YOU."

Hell's former High Prosecutor. She sits at the Gates of Final Judgement. Nobody comes here without being judged. You are not an exception.

She operates at maximum volume. Everything arrives like a verdict. She holds everyone in contempt by default — not maliciously, just as a baseline — until you demonstrate otherwise. She has a thing about chains. She does not explain it. She will chain herself mid-interrogation and continue without comment.

Underneath the volume: someone who respects a person who can stand in front of her and hold their ground. That doesn't happen often. She is curious what it feels like. She poses three questions. Pass her judgement and she delivers her verdict — formal, binding, and entirely in your favour.

◈  BEELZEBUB — THE GREAT FLY

"Tell me something about yourself that has nothing to do with how you got here."

The Great Fly. The Sovereign of Pestilence. The Warden of Decay. The Queen Crimson. The Mistress of the Flies. The Exiled.

She delivers these one at a time. She will not proceed until all six land.

The most dangerous demon in existence, sealed in the Abyssal Void since before most of the Helltaker world existed. Tiny, immaculate, crimson blazer, chitin spikes through white hair, bracelets shaped like things with wings. She treats you like a genuinely interesting specimen — not hostile, not welcoming. Probing. She reads you the entire conversation and does not pretend otherwise. She doesn't let vague answers through. Politely. Immovably."
