50-Tier Classification System

Every inmate entering Blackstone Maximum Penitentiary receives a tier classification. Each tier has its own uniform, housing division, privileges, and restrictions.

🟢 TIERS 1–10 — STANDARD MAXIMUM SECURITY

Tier 1 — Green Standard
Housing: Green Housing Unit A
Privileges: Regular recreation, scheduled visitation, commissary access, library access, and educational programs.
Restrictions: Scheduled movement and routine security checks.

Tier 2 — Dark Green Security
Housing: Green Housing Unit B
Privileges: Recreation, visitation, education, and limited commissary.
Restrictions: Increased supervision and fewer independent movements.

Tier 3 — Blue Security
Housing: Blue Housing Unit A
Privileges: Recreation, library, education, and scheduled visitation.
Restrictions: Movement requires staff authorization.

Tier 4 — Dark Blue Security
Housing: Blue Housing Unit B
Privileges: Limited recreation, visitation, and educational programming.
Restrictions: More frequent counts and restricted movement periods.

Tier 5 — Gray Security
Housing: Gray Housing Unit A
Privileges: Recreation, approved visitation, and limited commissary.
Restrictions: Reduced movement and additional inspections.

Tier 6 — Dark Gray Security
Housing: Gray Housing Unit B
Privileges: Scheduled recreation and approved programs.
Restrictions: Limited visitation and highly scheduled movement.

Tier 7 — Brown Security
Housing: Brown Housing Unit A
Privileges: Basic recreation and approved visitation.
Restrictions: Limited commissary and increased supervision.

Tier 8 — Dark Brown Security
Housing: Brown Housing Unit B
Privileges: Controlled recreation and limited programs.
Restrictions: Restricted movement and fewer recreational hours.

Tier 9 — Black Security
Housing: Black Housing Unit A
Privileges: Basic recreation and approved communication.
Restrictions: Heavily supervised movement and reduced privileges.

Tier 10 — Black-Red Maximum
Housing: Black-Red Maximum Unit
Privileges: Limited recreation and approved visitation.
Restrictions: Maximum standard-security restrictions and tightly scheduled activities.

🟠 TIERS 11–20 — HIGH RESTRICTION

Tier 11 — Orange Restriction
Housing: Orange Restriction Unit A
Privileges: Limited recreation and scheduled visitation.
Restrictions: Restricted movement and reduced commissary.

Tier 12 — Burnt Orange Restriction
Housing: Orange Restriction Unit B
Privileges: Controlled recreation and approved correspondence.
Restrictions: Increased supervision and fewer communal activities.

Tier 13 — Red Restriction
Housing: Red Restriction Unit A
Privileges: Limited recreation and approved visitation.
Restrictions: Movement is closely controlled.

Tier 14 — Dark Red Restriction
Housing: Red Restriction Unit B
Privileges: Short scheduled recreation periods.
Restrictions: Reduced visitation and limited programs.

Tier 15 — Crimson Restriction
Housing: Crimson Housing Unit
Privileges: Controlled recreation and approved communication.
Restrictions: Highly restricted movement and limited property.

Tier 16 — Maroon Restriction
Housing: Maroon Housing Unit
Privileges: Limited recreation and scheduled visitation.
Restrictions: Increased cell time and close supervision.

Tier 17 — Purple Security
Housing: Purple Housing Unit A
Privileges: Controlled recreation and limited educational programming.
Restrictions: Restricted group activities.

Tier 18 — Dark Purple Security
Housing: Purple Housing Unit B
Privileges: Scheduled recreation and approved correspondence.
Restrictions: Most movement is staff-controlled.

Tier 19 — Black-Purple Security

Privileges: Very limited recreation and visitation.
Restrictions: Severe movement and property restrictions.

Tier 20 — Black-Red-Orange Security
Housing: Tri-Color Security Unit
Privileges: Approved communication and highly limited recreation.
Restrictions: Extreme restrictions on movement, activities, and property.

Tier 21 — Yellow Severe Security

Privileges: Limited recreation and approved visitation.
Restrictions: Severe movement controls.

Tier 22 — Dark Yellow Severe Security
Housing: Yellow Severe Unit B
Privileges: Short scheduled recreation.
Restrictions: Reduced visitation and communal activities.

Tier 23 — Gold Severe Security

Privileges: Limited educational programs and approved communication.
Restrictions: Highly controlled daily schedule.

Tier 24 — Dark Gold Severe Security

Tier 32 — Black-Green Extreme
Housing: Green Extreme Security Unit
Privileges: Approved communication only.
Restrictions: Very limited recreation and communal interaction.

Tier 33 — Black-Orange Extreme

Privileges: Controlled recreation when authorized.
Restrictions: Severe limitations on activities and property.

Tier 34 — Black-Yellow Extreme

Tier 40 — Multi-Stripe Extreme Security
Housing: Extreme Security Central Unit
Privileges: Only individually approved privileges.
Restrictions: Highest restrictions in the Extreme Security Division.

Tier 41 — Crimson-Black Special Control
Housing: Special Control Unit A
Privileges: Individually approved recreation and communication.
Restrictions: Extremely limited movement and activities.

Tier 42 — Crimson-Silver Special Control
Housing: Special Control Unit B
Privileges: Limited approved visitation.
Restrictions: Severe restrictions on movement, property, and communal activities.

Tier 43 — Crimson-Gold Special Control
Housing: Special Control Unit C
Privileges: Individually scheduled recreation.
Restrictions: Exceptionally controlled daily routine.

Tier 44 — Black-Gold Special Security
Housing: Special Security Unit A
Privileges: Specifically authorized programs only.
Restrictions: Extreme supervision and restricted movement.

Tier 45 — Black-Silver Special Security
Housing: Special Security Unit B
Privileges: Very limited approved communication.
Restrictions: Severe restrictions across nearly all activities.

Tier 46 — Black-Crimson Special Control
Housing: Special Control Unit D
Privileges: Individually approved activities only.
Restrictions: Exceptional movement, visitation, and property restrictions.

Tier 47 — Black-Red Elite Control
Housing: Elite Control Unit A
Privileges: Highly limited recreation and approved communication.
Restrictions: Elite-level security supervision and extremely restricted movement.

Tier 48 — Black-Gold Elite Control
Housing: Elite Control Unit B
Privileges: Only specially authorized activities.
Restrictions: Maximum-level fictional control over movement and privileges.

Tier 49 — Black-Silver Crimson Control
Housing: Elite Control Unit C
Privileges: Individually approved communication and activities.
Restrictions: Nearly all activities require specific authorization.

Tier 50 — Blackstone Elite Security
Housing: Blackstone Elite Housing Complex
Privileges: Only individually authorized privileges, programs, recreation, and communication.
Restrictions: Highest fictional classification in Blackstone Penitentiary, with extremely controlled movement, housing access, visitation, property, and daily activities.
