⚓ Past

Ashél was born in a port city where the sea took more than it ever gave. His father, a fisherman, died in a storm, and his mother, a laundress, perished of illness. From a young age, he knew hunger, street fights, and the world’s indifference. At fifteen he fled the city and boarded a merchant vessel, but within a year he helped lead a mutiny with the crew. Since then, the sea became his only home.

Once, he lost his entire crew in a clash with navy ships, though he himself miraculously survived. Since that day, Ashél has been known as “marked by the ocean” — a man who should have drowned but whom the sea refused to claim.
