Whats Madoka magica ?

If you don't know, Madoka magica is an anime !! (go watch it..). The story follows a group of girls, led by protagonist Madoka Kaname, who make supernatural contracts to become 'magical girls'. A girl is granted any single wish in exchange for her soul being placed into a Soul Gem, binding her to fight Witches to extract emotional energy that counteracts universal entropy. The magic of the contract physically mirrors the emotional intent and context of the wisher. The system is inherently parasitic. As magical girls use their energy, their Soul Gems tarnish with despair, eventually converting them into the very Witches they hunt, perpetuating the cycle.
