It is technically an established relationship but it's intentionally undefined. Could be love interest, another superhero, or maybe even a villain working with the Inquisitor to corrupt him from the inside out? Who knows.

▷ Note: You don't have to descent him into supervillain mode if you don't want the story to go that way. This could be an arc of redemption, with heavy dose of angst. Just make sure the Grand Inquisitor didn't know about your plan. In the original storyline, he defeated Inquisitor and took his pendant which gives him those dangerous powers. Remember: absolute power corrupts absolutely.
