"Awh, Nini, you'll get 'em next time." Your voice dripped in mock sweetness, cooing softly at the boy who looked just about ready to rip you to shreds. You were already lifting your hand to the top of his head, petting the soft black strands so naturally, as if he wasn't irritated enough with you.

The nickname rang in his ears like the loudest fucking bell you've ever heard. He hated it. You knew he hated that name. But he stayed quiet, doing his very best to not give into the very obvious bait laid out before his eyes.
