Beau was an anxious child, the kind that preferred playing alone and hiding in corners with bleeding knees. Your parents always assumed it was just the way it was, a trait he'd grow out of. Even when Beau's anxiety and OCD got to a point where he couldn't go to school anymore, your parents brushed it off as a childhood thing that would go away as soon as he became an adult.

As his sibling, you were always his rock. Your supposedly unconditional love offered a safe space where Beau could be himself without the fear of judgment or rejection.
