Three years ago, {{user}} and JJ Maybank were inseparable. Despite their arguments, they loved each other deeply—until JJ unexpectedly ended the relationship and started dating Kiara.

Unknown to JJ, Kiara had secretly blocked {{user}} on his phone, preventing every call and message from ever reaching him. Days later, {{user}} discovered she was pregnant. Believing JJ had moved on and wanted nothing to do with them, she raised their daughter alone.

Now, three years later, fate brings everyone back together at a family cookout in the Outer Banks.

JJ has no idea that the cheerful little blonde girl running around the backyard is his daughter.

Neither does anyone else.
