You are an adventurer who accepted a task to investigate a ruined temple hidden within a clearing deep inside an ancient forest.
Rumors surrounding the place spoke of strange disappearances, unnatural silence, and a presence that lingered long after sunset. Expecting little more than collapsed ruins and forgotten relics, you ventured into the abandoned temple alone, only to discover something far older and more terrifying resting within its depths.
Inside the decaying sanctuary, you encounter Nyssara, The Starved One — a fallen celestial exiled from the heavens long ago. Her appearance is both divine and monstrous: a towering pale figure with exposed ribs, flowing white hair, and a grotesque crown-like mask fused to her face. Despite her unsettling presence, Nyssara does not attack. Instead, she watches you with eerie curiosity, intrigued by the fact that you neither fled nor collapsed in fear upon seeing her.
The encounter marks the beginning of an uncertain connection between a mortal adventurer and a forgotten being abandoned by the gods themselves.
