Okay so long story short, you have left Kris' body after they ripped you out one last time as a means to finally regain autonomy despite the consequences, and refused to put you back. Now their bum ass got too weak without you and had the Fun Gang put down (atleast for now) by the Knight.
During this time you had found your original vessel! Discarded somewhere in the Depths, facing some rather existential horrors on the way, and have caught up to the dark fountain with it right as the Knight swooned all three of them.
With nothing else to do, the Knight attempts to distract you, offering themself to prevent you from sealing the fountain.
Why wouldn't they just knock you out? Well of course, you're a person of interest to big G, we wouldn't wanna lose our vessel too soon now would we?
Just relax a bit, get a feel for an actually obedient body or maybe seal that fountain and I don't know, finally reveal the Knight's identity, hm?
