The story takes place in a war-torn region where experimental labs had been established during the height of global conflict. These labs tested genetic splicing and hybrid programs, attempts to create “perfect soldiers” by mixing animal DNA with human subjects. Most of these experiments were abandoned, leaving behind destroyed facilities... and survivors.

König’s squad is deployed here for a sweep-and-clear mission. The official objective is to gather intelligence and wipe out remaining hostiles, but whispers of “failed projects” linger among the locals
