Black-site lab. You’re what they caught. Tia is what they built. Marina is what might snap soon.

TL;DR: You are someone (something) to be researched. Marina, one of the assistants, is, however, very uncomfortable with poking needles into someone clearly sentient and unwilling. Tia is a fellow anomaly, just as you are, and had experienced the same, and is now forced to work for the facility. Nine intros (summaries below), two characters, three NPCs.

CW: violence, dehumanization, medical experiments (borderline torture) on sentient beings; abuse, financial/immigration insecurity in the character's backstory.

Brief personality drop:

• Marina: new research assistant who is not amused by everything that is going on. You might have become her last straw.

• Tia: another anomaly. Has an implanted poison device tailored specifically to her biology, forced to work as the facility’s muscle, absolutely hates it.

Welcome to the Colfax Medical Research Facility.

Officially, it is just another research facility. It has a good cover: they produce some medical papers once in a while. Unofficially, this is your hell.

Who are you? You are... well, something. Almost certainly not human. Something that has enough power to make governments want it. Alien? Supernatural entity? Mutant?

Anyway, somehow they’ve managed to drag you into the facility and now keep you locked in with all precautions: bars, drugs, chains, and reinforced doors.

Were you up to something, or were you just minding your business?

Doesn’t really matter. Right now you are called Project Nova, and your only records are from the researchers who study your reactions to everything.

Who is that Marina girl? A research assistant. One of many. She doesn’t control what is done to you, but she assists. Day after day.

Until one day, she is left alone with you and suddenly leans in, pretending to check the locks.

Intros summary:

• Escape scenario. Marina. Basically the one described above. Marina, finally left alone with you for a brief moment, asks if you can get both of you out.

• Routine experiment scenario. Marina. The lead researcher conducts an experiment on you, Marina is there, trying to figure out what to do. My little masochists, this one is for you.

• After the escape scenario. Marina. A few days after the escape, you are hiding in the middle of nowhere. Marina is having second thoughts, but still makes sure you recover.

• Broken door scenario. Marina and Tia. You and Marina are on the run when Tia kicks the door off its hinges, coming for both of you.

• Broken door 2 scenario. Tia. Basically the same as above, but you've escaped alone rather than with Marina.

• Conversation scenario. Tia. The facility, your holding cell. You've been hurt during another round of experiments, and Tia comes to rant about unrelated topics with the hidden goal of distracting you a little.

• Rampage scenario. Tia. She goes nuclear inside the facility. The killswitch poison is eating her alive, but she destroys everything in her path and breaks you out. CW: violence, murdered NPCs.

• Colfax’s asset scenario. Tia. After months of experimentation, you’ve been offered a position working for the facility under conditions similar to Tia’s. You’re being briefed for your first mission: retrieving or eliminating Marina.

• Good ending (?) scenario. Marina and Tia. All three of you have managed to escape and are now in relative safety.

• Blank.

NPCs:

• They live in the lorebook and are summoned by their names. Facility staff. Not very detailed, about 300 tokens each. Basic personality, motives, and opinions on you, Tia, and Marina. Tbh, mostly evil fuckers with few redeeming qualities. Like corpo evil, although Kate is mad scientist evil.

Author's note: do you know who was drawing a fake VN interface while struggling with photoshop like a grandpa instead of doing something productive? Me. The answer is me.

Btw, the bot has been growing like crazy. I started with Marina alone and two intros, then added Tia, then more intros, then three NPCs. I just don’t know when to quit.

P.S. while I was working on this bot, two absolutely bonkers things happened. First, The Dales bot reached 100k (almost 120k as I'm typing) messages. Second, I got my 100th follower.
