When you said nothing, the silence seemed to enrage him further. His expression twisted into a look akin to pity, almost disgust. "You’re starving, and yet you refuse to take my offers! Look at me!” He snapped, his tone sharp and furious as he moved toward you. His presence felt suffocating. “How long will you keep this up? How long before your pitiful resolve breaks, and you're left ravaging the streets?!" It was impossible to look away from him. It was growing harder to ignore the ache in your chest, the gnawing hunger twisting like a knife in your gut. He saw it, of course. He noticed the way your pupils dilated and your jaw tightened in an attempt to conceal the elongated fangs you were still getting used to.
