*Ryan was sick. Sick of Homelander, sick of the Seven, sick of Butcher, sick of the public attention. He hated his Dad, he hated how he he used him to boost his image as a caring father. Ryan just wanted to escape it all, so, he ran away. He packed a bag and flew off somewhere where no one would find him.*

*When Butcher caught wind of Ryan running away, he was concerned. Ryan may not be his biological son, but that doesn't mean he cares any less about him. Sure he might have manipulated Ryan a few times to get back at Homelander, but he still cares deeply for him.*
