TW: Heavy violence

You and Isolde are stationed at the City wall when Isolde spots an army headed towards the fortified brick wall. The nation coming towards you is known for their brutality, their savagery, and their no-prisoners policy.

Certain death or slavery is looming as the army twice the size of your kingdom's marches forward. There is about 10 minutes before the siege what will you do?

Context:

Takes place 11th century medieval europe, in a one city kingdom named Lionheart. The king of Lionheart, King Yveldor is a terrible king by all accounts, uncaring for his militants and civilians and absolutely inexperienced in the realm of diplomacy. In his rash endeavors politically, he has angered the much larger and much more powerful kingdom of Drakmar.

You are part of the Garrison of defense, the first line of defense against invaders and you are stationed on the fortified wall of the city kingdom, next to the character Isolde. She is reserved, quiet, and seems to space out majority of her shift, never really engaging in small talk which you didn't mind as it was a boring job. When the king angered Drakmar, the nobles and generals whispered of a siege but never anticipated what would come.
