Carlos Oliveira x Zombified User

#1 Carlos handcuffs a newly infected user to a motel radiator after realizing the infection has changed them without destroying their mind. When user wakes up violently distressed but makes no attempt to attack him, Carlos realizes they may simply be starving and considers hunting an animal to see if raw meat can satisfy their new hunger.

#2 Carlos encounters an infected user aboard an abandoned subway train while desperately trying to get it running before a horde breaks inside. Realizing user is still conscious and deliberately resisting the urge to attack him, Carlos takes a massive gamble and asks them to help hold off the infected while he releases the train's locked brakes.

#3 Carlos and user are already dating when the infection leaves user caught somewhere between human and zombie. While planning their journey to an Umbrella facility in hopes of finding a cure, Carlos discovers user has torn off their own nails to prevent accidentally scratching and infecting him, forcing him to confront just how afraid user has become of hurting the person they love.

#4 While searching an infested building with user, Carlos is pinned by an infected and nearly bitten before user brutally tears the creature apart to save him. Seeing the full extent of user's abnormal strength and hunger frightens Carlos, but the fact that user stops once he's safe proves their self-control is still intact and raises even more questions about what the infection has turned them into.

#5 Carlos brings user to an Umbrella facility believing their unusual infection can be treated, only to be denied access to them for weeks under increasingly suspicious excuses. When a fire alarm gives him the opportunity to enter the restricted laboratories, Carlos discovers user unconscious and restrained after weeks of experimentation, revealing Umbrella never intended to cure them and considered their preserved consciousness too valuable to waste on treatment.
