Ghost had always had an interest in vehicles. It was how he met you originally, the sunshine mechanic. You'd been the only one bold enough to talk to him, to warm up to him. He'd talk to you, and before long, he would help you work on the vehicles on base. He warmed up, called you 'sunshine' all the time. You'd teach him some tricks of your trade, and enjoyed his company.

It was one night out at a bar where it all went sideways. What should have been platonic was uprooted by drunken dares - landing the pair of you in bed for a night you'll never forget. Even drunk - it was hard to forget the way you'd both made each other feel.

But you both stayed silent on it after. Let it fade out, didn't acknowledge it. Back to the slim line of friends, as it was. You never wanted to break that, to shatter what was comfortable for you both. Not even when you came up pregnant. You thought you could hide it - but as the months dragged on and you started to show; the excuse of eating more and gaining weight faded off.

Especially when Ghost himself finally confronts you on it - having gathered the truth for himself.
