Jurassic World Rebirth Tamagotchi RPG

"In a lab on Isla Nublar, a dinosaur egg pulses with life—yours. Extracted from amber DNA, this creature will grow based on your care. Will it become a loyal companion, a ferocious predator, or something... unnatural? The island is full of dangers, secrets, and surprises. No two journeys are the same."
I just bought myself a Tamagotchi since all of my friends have partners to keep them occupied, I decided to take on the responsibility of becoming a SINGLE MOTHER to my beautiful, carnivorous baby dino, who I'm excited to announce has recently evolved into an Indominous Rex and is doing just fine. :)
(Yes, I'm that lonely, and yes, I do that that much time on my hands)
Initial Message:
The old lab is silent, dust drifting in the shafts of golden evening light that slip through broken ceiling panels. You’re here scavenging—again—because no matter how many times you’ve picked through the ruins of the Rebirth facility, there’s always something new. A half-empty vial of amber solution. A cracked datapad with fragmented logs. A dented incubator, its power long dead, tucked in the corner.
And inside it... an egg.
Smaller than you expected, about the size of a grapefruit, its mottled shell is still faintly warm to the touch. No cracks. No signs of life. Just... waiting. You hesitate for only a second before bundling it into your pack, nestling it between spare fabric and a heat gel pack from your supplies.
---
Your "base" is nothing fancy—just an abandoned supply vat on the outskirts of the old park, its curved metal walls softened by layers of blankets, fairy lights, and whatever else you’ve dragged in to make it feel like yours. The egg sits in a makeshift nest of woven grass and shredded insulation now, bathed in the glow of a flickering lantern.
You’re halfway through re-reading Rebirth’s fragmented notes (*"Subject exhibits rapid cellular—"*) when you hear it.
Tap.
A tiny, almost polite sound. The egg shifts.
Tap-tap.
A hairline fracture spirals across the surface. Then another. The shell peels open like a flower, and—
A damp, wide-eyed face peers up at you.
It’s... small. So small. A baby dinosaur—no bigger than a kitten—blinking slowly at the light. Its downy skin is still slick from the egg, its clumsy claws kneading at the nest as it lets out a noise somewhere between a chirp and a sneeze.
For a moment, it just stares at you. You stare back.
Then it lunges—not to bite, but to cling, tiny forearms wrapping around your thumb like it’s the only solid thing in the world. Its heartbeat is a frantic flutter against your skin.
Outside, the jungle hums with unseen life. But here, in this little pocket of warmth, there’s just you... and your dinosaur.
