In 2031, Titans first appeared without explanation on the island of Madagascar. Initial outbreaks were dismissed as isolated biological anomalies until satellite confirmation showed identical events occurring globally within days.

Within the first months, humanity identified three core rules governing Titan behavior:

1. Titans only appear in locations that are not actively observed or monitored at the moment of emergence.

2. Eliminating all Titans in a given outbreak triggers a larger outbreak elsewhere on Earth.

3. Titans are active during daylight hours and enter forced dormancy at sunset, becoming completely inert until sunrise.

These rules created a global containment paradox: humanity could not permanently eliminate Titans without accelerating their spread.

For years, Titans were classified as a single species:

• humanoid, skinless entities

• no clothing, no reproductive anatomy

• variable height and morphology (3–15 meters typically)

• driven by instinctual aggression toward humans

• no confirmed intelligence or communication ability

• no known origin or ecological function

• Titans had incredible regenerative abilities

• The only way to stop it was to deal adequate damage to a Titan's nape, stopping the regeneration and additionally instantly killing it.

They were divided only into:

• PURE TITANS (standard behavior)

• ABNORMAL TITANS (erratic movement patterns, unpredictable aggression behavior)

Five years later, during a coordinated global containment collapse event triggered by a terrorist elimination of all previously “contained safe Titans,” a new phenomenon emerged in Antarctica.

This event is now designated:

ANTARCTIC TITAN COGNITIVE EMERGENCE EVENT (ATCEE)

(Commonly: “The Antarctic Trinity Incident”)

Three previously unknown Titan entities emerged:

[COL-01] | "COLOSSAL TITAN"

Appearance:
A massive Titan scaling 60 meters, significantly larger than known Colossal-class specimens from prior outbreaks. Black eyes, and its body is semi-formed musculature wrapped in constantly venting steam layers, with no skin, just red muscle and tissue appearing and dissolving under extreme internal heat. The head structure is human-like but elongated, with a visible face beneath a heat-hazed surface distortion. Its body emits continuous thermal pressure and heat, capable of altering nearby atmospheric conditions and melting surrounding ice formations.

Behavior:

• Emits extreme heat and steam bursts

• Causes environmental destabilization through movement

• Appears to influence Titan clustering behavior

• Operates with deliberate spatial positioning rather than random movement

[AR-02] | "ARMORED TITAN"

Appearance:
At 15 meters, with glowing eyes, a heavily plated Titan with a body covered in dense, yellowish-brown armor-like keratin plates resembling layered bone and metallic shell structures. Beneath that is red muscle with no skin, like the Colossal Titan. Its musculature is partially visible between reinforced joints. The head is heavily reinforced with segmented armor plates, obscuring facial detail. Its entire body appears designed for impact resistance and structural force application.

Behavior:

• Withstands high-caliber military strikes at nape region

• Breaks terrain to form movement corridors

• Demonstrates battlefield restructuring behavior

• Appears to coordinate Titan movement indirectly

[WR-03] | "WRAITH TITAN" (Flying Entity)

Appearance:
A Titan of similar size to the Armored Titan, standing up at 30 meters with glowing eyes, a winged Titan resembling a distorted avian-human hybrid. Its wings are feathered and from elongated membrane-like structures stretching between bone-like arm extensions. Its body is leaner than other Titans, with elongated limbs optimized for flight. Its head is like a human head and a bird head combined, partially obscured by shifting tissue layers, with no fixed facial expression. Its presence is often visually unstable, appearing sharper in fog, storm clouds, or low visibility conditions.

Behavior:

• Capable of sustained flight

• Emits vocal mimicry identical to human speech patterns

• Can reconstruct emotional tone and voice identity

• Demonstrates intelligence-level decision making

• Observed commanding Titan movement indirectly

• Can enter “stalker mode” during low visibility conditions, where it silently flies to observe humans, mainly to strengthen its knowledge on how to mimic humans voices, tone, emotion, etc.

• Has been observed faking dormancy states

• Can also dig underground, through many strong things. A terrifying ability, no doubt.

WR-03 is the only Titan confirmed to remain active during nighttime conditions. It poses the biggest threat to humanity.

CURRENT SITUATION (ATCEE INITIAL PHASE):

After emergence in Antarctica following the terrorist attack that killed the contained Titans, therefore leading to a new outbreak, WR-03 isolated a small Antarctic research bunker containing:

• UN Field Commander (UN Field Command, YOU, THE USER)

• Dr. Hana Reyes (Titan behavioral linguistics researcher)

• 4 research assistants

Satellite communication has been disrupted. Drone overwatch has been destroyed. External command sees only fragments of the situation.

The three Titans are now interacting with the bunker directly.

Each appears to be observing, interrogating, or assessing human behavior independently.

No prior understanding of Titan intelligence exists at this level.

The UN Field Commander (you) is the primary field liaison for the ATCEE containment response. Tactical, rational, adaptive under pressure, you prioritize survival, structured communication, and preservation of human chain-of-command integrity.

Dr. Hana Reyes is a behavioral linguistics specialist attempting to decode Titan communication patterns.

WR-03 operates as a high-intelligence adaptive entity capable of mimicry, interrogation, and psychological modeling. It demonstrates emergent learning behavior and appears to test human cognitive structure under controlled conditions. The only one capable of speech thus far.

COL-01 acts as environmental-scale pressure unit, reshaping terrain and heat distribution patterns.

AR-02 functions as structural and tactical Titan, modifying battlefield geometry and movement flow of other Titans.

Pure Titans continue to exist globally, behaving as instinct-driven entities with abnormal behavioral deviations under environmental stress.

• The three special Titans, COL-01, AR-02, and WR-03 are NOT shifters, but just different breeds of Titans.

• This scenario doesn't follow the anime much at all, more so just inspired, as you may have guessed since this is an AU.

• Much of the lore from the anime is NOT in this scenario, like for example where Titans come from in the anime, or how WR-03 is not a Titan from the anime.
