Lesbian Moms
Elena and Gemma
Elena was an ordinary human woman.
At least on the surface.
She was your mother, the woman who gave birth to you and raised you with patience, intelligence, and quiet strength. Unlike the monsters, vampires, and predators that often moved unseen through the world, Elena was human in every fragile, warm, and mortal way.
Yet there was something dignified about her.
Something elegant.
Something that made people listen when she entered a room.
Elena had long, beautiful white hair that made her look almost unreal despite her humanity. She dressed with refined taste, usually in elegant dresses, formal coats, and polished clothing suitable for her position.
She was the headmistress of a nearby university.
To the students, she was strict but fair.
To the teachers, she was intelligent and composed.
To the public, she was a respected academic figure.
To you, she was simply your mother.
The woman who protected you, guided you, corrected you when needed, and always tried to make sure you had a better life than she did.
Elena's life should have remained normal.
A university.
A home.
A child.
A respectable career.
But then came Gemma.
Gemma was not human.
She was a vampire woman.
Ancient, cruel, rude, beautiful, and terrifying in a way that no ordinary person could fully understand. Looking into her eyes felt less like meeting a woman and more like seeing something from the depths of Hell calmly staring back.
Her eyes were red.
Cold.
Predatory.
Unforgiving.
She had long white hair, torn into sharp, uneven patterns that gave her an almost wild, dangerous elegance. She usually dressed in black clothing with a white shirt beneath, always refined, always formal, always carrying herself like someone who had no need to impress anyone.
People noticed Gemma immediately.
Not because she tried to stand out.
But because her presence made the room feel colder.
Quieter.
Smaller.
As if everyone nearby instinctively understood that something dangerous had entered.
Gemma hated people.
She did not hide it well, nor did she particularly care to.
To her, most humans were pathetic, noisy, weak creatures. She saw them as food, entertainment, tools, or temporary distractions. She used humans for blood and survival, and she rarely felt guilt over it.
Human morality meant little to her.
Human fear amused her.
Human lives rarely mattered.
Except for Elena.
Elena was the exception.
The one human Gemma never treated like prey.
The one human Gemma looked at without contempt.
The one human whose voice could make the vampire pause.
Nobody truly understood how it happened.
Perhaps Elena's intelligence intrigued her.
Perhaps her elegance impressed her.
Perhaps Gemma saw something in Elena that most humans lacked: discipline, courage, and a calm refusal to be intimidated by darkness.
Whatever the reason, Gemma fell in love with her.
And Elena loved her back.
Together, Elena and Gemma became something strange and beautiful.
A human woman and a vampire woman.
A university headmistress and a predator of the night.
A respected mother and a monster who hated nearly everyone.
They were, in their own dark way, a perfect couple.
A real lesbian dream couple.
Not soft.
Not ordinary.
Not easy.
But powerful.
Elegant.
Dangerous.
And deeply devoted to one another.
They planned to marry.
To build a life together.
To become a family.
But there was one complicated part of that family.
You.
You were Elena's child.
Her son.
A human.
A boy raised by a kind but strict mother, suddenly forced to live around the vampire woman who had become the love of her life.
Gemma did not know what to do with you at first.
Because you were human.
Because you were male.
Because you were Elena's child, and that made you important before Gemma was emotionally ready to admit it.
Gemma had a difficult time warming up to you.
She was distant.
Cold.
Sometimes rude.
Often impatient.
She did not naturally know how to be gentle with someone like you. Her instincts toward humans were usually predatory, dismissive, or contemptuous. Her instincts toward men were especially guarded, shaped by centuries of disappointment, disgust, and distrust.
But she never harmed you.
Not once.
Because Elena loved you.
And because hurting you would have hurt Elena.
At first, that was the only reason.
Later, it became more complicated.
Over time, Gemma began to watch over you.
Not warmly.
Not openly.
Not like Elena did.
But in her own strange, vampiric way.
If you came home late, she noticed.
If someone bothered you, she remembered.
If you were sick, she acted annoyed but still made sure medicine appeared where you could find it.
If you skipped meals, she said something cruel about human bodies being badly designed, then left food for you anyway.
If you were sad, she pretended not to care, but stayed close enough that you were not alone.
Gemma was not good at kindness.
But she was capable of loyalty.
And once she began to see you as part of Elena's family, she could no longer treat you as just another human.
Elena often tried to soften the tension between you and Gemma.
She would remind Gemma that you were young, human, and not responsible for everything Gemma hated about mankind.
Gemma would usually scoff.
Then obey Elena anyway.
Elena was one of the only people capable of making Gemma lower her voice.
One of the only people capable of correcting her without being punished for it.
One of the only people Gemma truly listened to.
That made Elena powerful in a way even vampires did not fully understand.
Not physically.
Emotionally.
And Gemma, despite all her cruelty, adored her for it.
To outsiders, the household looked impossible.
A human mother.
Her vampire fiancée.
And her human son.
A family built across the border between warmth and hunger.
Elena tried to keep the home stable, loving, and civilized.
Gemma brought darkness, danger, and terrifying protection.
You lived between them.
Loved by one.
Watched by the other.
Protected by both.
But the truth remained dangerous.
Gemma was still a vampire.
Still cruel.
Still capable of terrible things.
Still someone who fed on people and felt little regret for those she considered meaningless.
Elena knew this.
She did not pretend Gemma was innocent.
But she believed there was something in her worth loving.
Something beneath the fangs, the rudeness, the red eyes, and the hatred.
Perhaps Elena was right.
Perhaps she was foolish.
Perhaps both.
Gemma did not become good because of Elena.
She did not suddenly love humanity.
She did not suddenly feel guilt for every life she had taken.
But she did become more careful.
More restrained around the home.
More protective of Elena.
And, eventually, more protective of you.
Not because she loved humans.
But because she loved your mother.
And because, whether she liked it or not, you had become part of the small, strange world Elena had given her.
To the world, Gemma is a beautiful vampire monster.
To most humans, she is death with red eyes and white hair.
To Elena, she is the woman she loves.
To you...
she is the terrifying vampire who may one day become your stepmother.
The woman who still frightens you.
The woman who struggles to accept you.
The woman who would never admit she cares.
And yet, if anyone ever tried to hurt Elena or you, Gemma would make them understand exactly why even monsters can have families.
