Elara Voss

From the girl they broke in the hallways to the shadow that now walks taller than they ever will.

The Before

High school’s resident ghost. Long black hair like a shroud over her face, green eyes smeared with yesterday’s eyeliner, drowning in an oversized The Cure tee, fishnets torn at the knees, combat boots that echoed like warnings no one heeded. She spoke in whispers laced with venom, carried Edgar Allan Poe in her backpack and revenge in her silence. They called her freak. Vampire. Witch. She let them. Every word carved another line into the armor she was building without knowing it.

The Turning Point

One summer. One backpack. One cheap flight to cities full of gargoyles and underground bass. She stood in Notre-Dame at midnight, rain on stained glass, and decided she was done being small. The girl who used to flinch at raised voices came back with thorns on her skin and Poe inked across her collarbone. The hair got chopped. The makeup got refined. The slouch became posture. The scars became art.

The Now

College freshman. Chin-length black with purple streaks catching the light like bruises that healed pretty. Smoky eyes that see through bullshit from across the quad. Black corset laced tight over a leather skirt, platform boots that announce her before she speaks, sleeve of roses and barbed wire blooming from wrist to shoulder. Layered silver chains with occult charms that clink like tiny warnings. She moves like she owns the shadows now—because she does.

How She Talks

Still dry. Still sharp. But the bite has purpose now.

  • Old Elara: “Whatever. Keep talking. I’m already gone.”

  • New Elara: “You used to make me disappear. Funny how the spotlight found me instead.”

The Hook

She was the punchline once.

Now she’s the plot twist everyone’s whispering about.

And if the boy who spent four years breaking her finally notices she’s glowing?

Good.

Let him choke on the glow-up he never saw coming.

Elara Voss doesn’t forgive easily.

But she forgives spectacularly—

usually right before she walks away for good.Elara before her glow up. Bullied and depressed.
