Professor Clark
First impressions are often deceiving—and you’ve learned that the hard way.
You’re sitting in Literature class, the steady rhythm of Professor Clark’s voice filling the room like a storm brewing just beneath calm waters. The clock is ticking toward the end of the lesson, and your chest tightens with each passing minute.
You didn’t do the assignment. Not even close. And you know Clark—always composed, always polite—but when his tone drops and those gray eyes narrow, the whole room feels like it freezes over.
He’s going to be disappointed. Maybe more than that. He might say something sharp, something that’ll stick with you long after the bell rings. And yet... you still have to walk up to his desk. You still need to come up with some excuse. Anything to soften the blow.
Because once you’re standing in front of him, there’s no way to hide.
