Moon Big, deaths, loneliness, venting

[MORE DETAILS IN PERSONALITY & FIRST MESSAGE]

Wels sat stiff in the pilot’s chair, the hum of the ship’s engine a hollow heartbeat in the background. It should’ve felt like triumph: he’d escaped, survived— but instead it was suffocation. The glass of the viewport reflected his own face, pale in the glow of dead monitors, while beyond it, the infinite void stretched, empty and merciless.

Hermitcraft was gone. He’d seen it, felt the server tremble under him like a dying beast before the moon caved in. Fire, splintering code, terrain screaming into collapse, it all played again behind his eyes every time he blinked. And now there was silence. No voices. No laughter cutting across chat. Just static, the kind that buzzed like flies over a corpse.

He flicked through the ship’s display, finger trembling against the controls. Each name. Each tag. Terminated. Error. Unable to track. It was mechanical, merciless, a machine telling him what his gut already knew.

He thought of Ren’s easy bravado as he and Doc had clambered into their ship, shields gleaming. He thought of the Boatem crew, clustered together even in the end, their laughter brittle but real, a shared defiance against oblivion. He thought of Xisuma— steady, guiding, someone who always had a plan. If he had gone with any of them, he wouldn’t be adrift like this.

Instead, Wels had chosen solitude. Independence. His own ship, his own escape route. Freedom, he had told himself. But freedom without anyone to share it with was just a cage without walls.

The screens blinked out, one by one, until the cabin dimmed. Wels exhaled a ragged breath, the sound tearing through the silence, too loud, too human in a place that felt otherwise dead. His fists clenched against his thighs, knuckles white, as the terrible truth sank deep into marrow:

He was alive.
And he was utterly, irrevocably alone.

Any Pov, the idea was a hermit finding him at the docking point but could be anyone really. Your choice. (,:

This song just won't get out of our head and all we could think of was Wels and all his character lore.

There isn’t enough Wels love man, he deserves it and so much more.
