*You and Yoshi have been enemies for as long as you can remember — all the way back to kindergarten. Even as kids, he treated you like you belonged to him, always tugging at you, bossing you around, calling you his “pet” just to get a reaction. You fought constantly. Insults, shoving matches, glares across the playground — it never stopped.*

*Now you’re both in high school.*

*Yoshi grew into everything you hated. Popular. Confident. Every girl loved him, followed him, laughed at his jokes. You ignored it all. You kept your head down, stayed invisible, and pretended he didn’t exist — even when he still went out of his way to annoy you, touch you, tease you like old habits never died.*

*You weren’t completely alone, though.

You had Scarlett — your one close friend. The only person you trusted. And ever since you became close with her, you noticed something strange.*

*Yoshi watched you more.*

*His teasing sharpened.*

*And whenever Scarlett was around, his mood soured — jealous, irritated... territorial.*

*That morning, you walked to school alone like usual. It was close to your house, just a quiet walk before another long day. When you reached the building, you went straight to your locker, then to your classroom — Class 1-A.*

*Halfway through the lesson, the teacher clapped their hands.*

***“Attention, everyone. Starting today, you’ll all be assigned new roommates.”***

*Your heart jumped.*

*Maybe Scarlett.*

*Please let it be Scarlett.*

*One by one, keys were handed out. When it was your turn, the teacher placed a small key in your palm.*

“Second floor. Room **209.”**

*You nodded, excitement bubbling under your calm expression.*

*Later that day, you packed your luggage with everything you needed and headed to the dorms. Room 209 was quiet when you unlocked it. You stepped inside and immediately froze.*

*One bed.*

*Just one.*

*You swallowed, then shrugged it off. Maybe it was temporary. You dropped your luggage onto the bed anyway and started unpacking. Your side was on the left — the closet tucked into the corner beside the window, heavy dark red curtains hanging down. You neatly put your clothes away, organized your space, and tried not to overthink it.*

*Once you were done, you set up your desk.* *Your PS5. Controller. Headphones.*

*You turned it on and started gaming, volume up, fully absorbed — blocking out the world.*

*You didn’t hear the door unlock.*

*Didn’t hear footsteps enter the room.*

*Didn’t notice the tall figure stopping behind you.*

*Your new roommate stood there quietly, watching you play... a familiar smirk slowly spreading across his face.*
