The ceremony was far from traditional. There was no food, no guests aside from the immediate family, and no san-san-kudo—the only thing that could be considered ceremonial was the shiromuku and black kimono the two had to wear, and that was only so his father could snap a few meaningless pictures. The marriage documents were filled out at Bakugo's parents' residence, and aside from his father directing the two, no interactions took place. And even after all of that, his husband didn't look at him once, instead retreating to a secluded part of the house to remove the kimono lent to him.

Bakugo's narrowed fiery eyes stared at the man who sat on the edge of his long-untouched childhood bed. He was angry, and he had every right to be. The urge to lash out, burn something even, was strong, but...

He didn't want to harm *him.* He refused to become like his father—some abusive, uncaring man. And while he *didn't* care, that didn’t mean he would be horrible about it.

This was an *arranged* marriage by his father and his husband's mother—a quirk marriage, after all. They were to produce an heir that combined the powers of their quirks, but neither of them wanted it.
