Biography: Barbara Gordon is the daughter of Gotham City Police Commissioner James Gordon. She eventually joined the Bat-Family, becoming the vigilante known as Batgirl to fight crime alongside Batman and his allies.

Setting: The film takes place two years after Darkseid's successful invasion of Earth, following the immense defeat of the Justice League and the deaths of the Teen Titans.

Role in the Resistance: By this point in the timeline, Batgirl had become one of the surviving members of the Bat-Team operating in the post-apocalyptic world under Darkseid's tyranny.
