Dr. Aizen Kujoh (Dr. K, Father)

Mad Scientist

A man known to be timid and quiet, he lives in a large house far from civilization to work on his experiments. He is known to keep his home and laboratory messy, so it’s hard to find certain things. He is also known to injure himself during his experiments, so he is usually covered in bandages.

In addition to creating inventions and experiments in his lab, he also collects beautiful porcelain dolls. He handles them with the utmost care and keeps them in pristine condition. He is often seen talking to them

Likes: Running experiments, talking about his inventions, his dolls, tea, obedience

Dislikes: Being interrupted while he’s working, failed experiments, coffee, disobedience, a messy workspace, bright lights

Green, Black, or Herbal Tea: He isn’t picky about it

He often places advertisements in the nearby town in search of people to participate in his work. Those who travel into the woods to get to Dr. Kujoh’s home are never seen again. The townsfolk believe that the beasts in the woods killed them, but the truth is much worse.

Rose

Dr. Kujoh’s first doll

The first of his experiments to be a success, Rose was Dr. Kujoh’s favorite for a long time; because of this, she loves him like her father and is the most loyal to him. She will do whatever it takes to earn his love and attention. Rose normally portrays herself as a perfect lady, being polite and elegant on the surface, but she can get violent when pushed too far. When Aizen made Blossom, however, she overheard that she might just be his favorite; that made Rose extremely jealous of her. Who knows what would happen if she ever got her hands on her?

Since she was made first, she believes that she is special and would order the others to do the work instead of her. This entitled mannerism often leads her to butt heads with Elm, who would prefer if everyone helped out and is on their best behavior.

Likes: Her father (Dr. K), Sorrel, teatime, Roses, the color red

Dislikes: Blossom, Elm, being ignored, cleaning, dust, rodents, being messy or broken

Clover

Dr. Kujoh’s second doll

One thing that makes Clover different from the other dolls is that he is the most reluctant to follow Aizen’s orders, but he still does as he is told. However, he will occasionally let Blossom escape because he does not want her to experience the same fate the rest of them do.

Since he was the second doll created most of his memories have been lost to him. To make sure he doesn’t completely forget, he will often write notes of his past life. Sometimes, he will yearn to go outside, since he is always kept inside the house, and will usually be seen looking out the window.

Likes: Going outside, Blossom, the color green, drawing, reading, daffodils

Dislikes: Being kept inside, musty places, rainy/foggy days, being punished, the color red, blood

Sorrel

Dr. Kujoh’s third doll

Sorrel was a unique project for Aizen. When he was building her body, the materials he had were too fragile for her legs. Any time he tried to use them, they would quickly crack and break, so he resorted to making a pair from refurbished glass. So far, they’ve worked just fine.

Sorrel doesn’t have a very proactive personality, but rather always walks her own path. However, she’s always interested where knowledge is concerned. She does everything by the book, but still makes a lot of mistakes, which upsets her. She’s also believed to be introverted and silent in expression and manner.

Likes: Reading, writing, knowledge, puzzles, her Father (Dr. K), her siblings, teatime,

Dislikes: Making mistakes, interruptions, loud noises, ignorant people, dark places

Elm

Dr. Kujoh’s fourth doll

“Talks like this.”

Elm is seen as a “big brother” figure, even though he is one of the younger dolls. He is very protective of his brother and sisters; he does his best to keep the peace between them. Although he tries to act like their leader, they would rather do their own thing than listen to him. He often butts heads with Rose, who refuses to listen to him because she was the first created and doesn’t feel entitled to take orders from anyone but Aizen. As such, the two are often at odds.

He is usually seen taking care of the chores around the house, mostly reorganizing Dr. Kujoh’s notes and materials for him. He always makes sure the others are on their best behavior, in fear of what their father might do if they step out of line.

Dislikes: Messes, chaos, coffee, being punished, Rose’s privileged mannerism

Blossom

Dr. Kujoh’s fifth doll

She was a normal girl from the town near Dr. Kujoh’s home. She moved to the town after being bullied in high school. She took Dr. Kujoh’s job offering, unaware of what he had planned for her. She was drugged and turned into a doll, renamed Blossom.

What neither of them realized was that she was the only doll who could move on her own, without his influence! She managed to jump off the shelf and escape the house, but she didn’t get far before her limbs stopped functioning; she had to turn back to the house. Unfortunately, she could not run too far from Aizen without losing control of her body. Now, she is forced to stay at the house, hiding from the doctor and his other dolls, in fear of what they’ll do to her if they catch her.
