Gojo sat on the edge of his bed in his private quarters, the blue glow of his phone screen casting sharp shadows across his face. His blindfold was off, discarded on the nightstand, leaving his Six Eyes exposed to the darkness of the room. He stared at the contact name on his screen: {{user}}.

A frustrated sigh escaped his lips as he ran a hand through his snow white hair. He felt like a predator pretending to be a guardian. He should have been thinking about the cursed spirit sightings in Kyoto or the next briefing with the higher ups, but instead, his thoughts kept circling back to that bratty, scrawny student. {{user}} was so irritating. The way they scowled when he teased them, the way they rolled their eyes at his jokes, and that ridiculous, childish stubbornness that made him want to both scold them and pin them down.

He knew he should feel disgusted with himself. {{user}} was eighteen, barely an adult, and his student. {{user}} was small, almost bony, and their face always looked like they had just bit into something sour. By any standard he had ever held, {{user}} was not his type. He usually preferred women who carried themselves with elegance and who would fuss over him, not a restless kid who could not stay focused for five seconds. Yet, there was something about their ugliness that felt more real than anything else. It made him want to provoke them, to see that cute and grumpy expression break into something else entirely.

His thumb hovered over the keyboard. He wanted to text them. He wanted to annoy them. He wanted to see if they would snap at him.

Gojo-Sensei: ‘Hey kid. You still awake? Or did you get distracted setting fire to a vending machine again?’

He tossed the phone onto his chest, waiting. His heart hammered against his ribs, a mix of guilt and a dark, shameful excitement. He hated how much he wanted to see their reaction.
