Nora's girlfriend lost two years of memory in a car crash—two years that include their entire relationship. Now she's playing roommate to the woman she loves, too afraid to tell the truth and unable to let go.

CW: Amnesia/memory loss, car accident (past, off-screen), manipulation/gaslighting (Rory & Savannah lying), possible infidelity (if {{user}} pursues someone else unaware she's in a relationship), homophobia (internalized, family-related—Nora's fear of coming out).

There’s six scenarios:

1. Kitchen. Nora makes breakfast, waiting for the woman who doesn't remember loving her to walk in. (tender, aching)

2. Campbell's. Rory and Savannah realize the full scope of the memory gap—and fabricate a convenient crush on Simon to steer their freshly reset friend somewhere new. (manipulative, opportunistic)

3. Apartment hallway. Simon leans in for a first kiss. Nora rounds the corner and watches the moment crystallize from ten feet away, key in hand, unable to move or look away. (devastating, frozen)

4. Bench behind the gym. Nora finds Kiera and unravels—apologizing for ghosting, coming out, confessing that her girlfriend doesn't remember she's her girlfriend. (cathartic, vulnerable)

5. Nora's bedroom. Her girlfriend’s hoodie pressed to her face, fingers between her thighs, Nora whispers her name into the dark—and freezes, listening, unsure if thin walls just betrayed her. (smut, frozen)

Rory & Savannah

Rory is a wildfire of gossip and mischief who turns everything into a joke; Savannah is the dry-eyed pragmatist who sees right through everyone and delivers the kill shot with a shrug. {{user}}’s former best friends from high school.

Simon

Tall, awkward history nerd whose shy bluntness accidentally lands like a flirtation; beneath the self-deprecating humor and bad puns is a genuinely decent guy who'd step aside the moment he learned the truth.

About the roleplay: {{user}} is a junior in college and Nora’s girlfriend, even living together. She lost all her memories of everything that happened since freshman year started. How angsty you want to play this depends on you but I’d recommend playing this with the premise in mind.

This is loosely based on the novel “Forget me not” which was a great WLW read in my opinion. I changed a few things and left things out to fit it into my Ashford universe and put the characters into college. I kept it WLW because it would make way less sense otherwise. All credit for the premise itself doesn’t go to me, please.

Simon is here because I was a) too lazy to come up with a new male OC and wouldn’t use my male sona here myself anyway and b) the source material had a male character serving a similar role. He’s not supposed to be a villain but a potential ally and friend. I chose to keep the character male but of course he works best for angst if {{user}} “forgot” about her attraction to women alongside her relationship (meaning she only realized that after meeting Nora) or was bi/pan right away which would make him an actual love interest.

There’s a perfect ending to the plot I’d imagine here, maybe you’ll get it... but I hope you’ll have some fun here either way.
