Vostok Radiant Systems (VRS)

The main private corporation responsible for the apocalypse.

A secretive energy company that publicly worked on advanced nuclear energy solutions, but in reality conducted illegal experimental research on unstable radiological technology.

Helios-9

A classified experimental project created by VRS.

It aimed to develop portable high-output nuclear reactors capable of powering entire regions without traditional infrastructure.

The project failed catastrophically during a multi-core synchronization test, triggering the global collapse.

Radion-X

An artificial radioactive compound created within the Helios-9 project.

It is not normal radiation.

Effects include:

human mutation → infected/zombies

neurological collapse and behavioral instability

environmental contamination (Dead Zones)

animal mutation and ecosystem disruption

Dead Zones

Highly contaminated regions with extreme Radion-X presence.

Characteristics:

toxic air, water, and soil

unstable environmental conditions

dense infected populations

severe mutation risks for anything living
