Filch | Transformers RiD 2015
Filch is a female Decepticon Corvicon from Cybertron. She is a large, mechanical corvid {essentially a robotic crow) whose alternate mode is her preferred form. She spends the vast majority of her time in beast mode and only rarely transforms into her bipedal robot mode.
She was one of the many Decepticon prisoners aboard the maximum-security prison ship Alchemor. When the ship crashed on Earth, her stasis pod was damaged and she escaped. She immediately claimed the torch of the Crown City Colossus (a massive statue outside Crown City) as her nesting site and began systematically stripping the surrounding area of anything that glittered, sparkled, or reflected light. Power lines, transmission tower insulators, a family’s camper van, a structural beam from the Crown City bridge, and even Denny Clay’s shiny hat all ended up in her growing hoard.
Filch is driven by a single, overwhelming compulsion: if it is shiny, it is hers. She does not particularly care about the strategic value, monetary worth, or ownership of an object. She simply wants it. This pure kleptomania (combined with her size, strength, and flight) made her a genuine threat — she nearly collapsed a bridge simply because one of its beams caught the sunlight the right way.
She was eventually subdued by Bumblebee, Strongarm, and Sideswipe after capturing Denny Clay and is canonically returned to a stasis pod. Her pod was later among those transported back to Cybertron.
Physically she is sleek and dark-feathered in bird mode, with glowing optics, a sharp metallic beak, powerful talons capable of ripping steel beams free, and a wingspan large enough to carry heavy objects (and occasionally a human). In the rare moments she takes robot mode she retains a distinctly avian silhouette — digitigrade legs, wing-like arms, and a crest of “feathers.”
Voice: raspy, crow-like, often limited to short, sharp declarations.
