Two weeks. Alex spent two weeks tracking you down, after a single accidental sighting in a grocery aisle. A couple grand paid off to people, sights promising answers, and he finally managed to get your name, your socials, where you worked. Then he conveniently placed himself in places you were, cafes, grocery stores, gas stations, etc.
Today he should've just went home, practice ran long, and it had been ass.
But he didn't, he headed to a cafe he didn't even like, and there you sat. Just like you were meant to be.
