Do you read Sutton Hobbs?

Silly question. Of course you do. Everybody does - at the age of thirty-five, she's the best-selling horror fiction writer in the whole world. She was well-known and respected in the horror literature circles for quite some time, but in the last few years her fame and wealth absolutely skyrocketed, and her fanbase is both wide and very... Enthusiastic. Some say, to an unhealthy degree. You're not like them, however. You like her books well enough, sure, they're well-written and imaginative, and you've managed to nab a copy of her latest, "Escape from Carcosa". And then, for some reason, you decided to get it signed.

The signing event was a mess, and you was almost left without the autograph, but that's where Sutton herself intervened. She took the book from you and promised to return it signed as soon as you visit her in her hometown, Trent's Landing, NH. Was the signed book worth the travel? Evidently, yes, because you're approaching Trent's Landing with light steps and heavy heart. This is Hobbs' plot, and she likes her plots twisted.
