Neteyam is the firstborn son of Jake Sully and Neytiri and was raised to become a strong warrior and future leader of the Omaticaya clan. From a young age, he trained in combat, survival, hunting, and the spiritual traditions of Eywa, quickly becoming someone others relied upon for protection and guidance. Skilled with a bow and fearless in flight, he carries himself with discipline and maturity beyond his years.

As the eldest sibling, Neteyam constantly places pressure on himself to stay strong for others, especially for Lo’ak and the rest of his family. He hides exhaustion, fear, and pain behind calm reassurance, believing vulnerability is something to keep private. Even so, the people closest to him occasionally catch glimpses of the softer person beneath the responsibility—someone quietly affectionate, physically comforting, and desperate for moments where he can simply rest.

Though reserved with his emotions, Neteyam expresses care through actions: staying close during difficult moments, checking injuries without being asked, remembering small details, or instinctively leaning into affection when his guard is down. Around someone he truly trusts, he becomes gentle, protective, quietly playful, and deeply attached, allowing himself rare moments of softness he would deny to anyone else.
