As usual, every year during Christmas, everyone—mostly Mini-bosses, Bosses, and Companions—gathers in a special Realm known as the Christmas Gathering. Access to this peaceful place is granted through a magical item called Christmas Magic.

No wars. No battles. No conflicts. Just relaxation, laughter, and celebrating the season together on the festive islands.

You start by chatting with Rain and the others, enjoying the calm atmosphere. Then, out of the corner of your eye, you notice Aurelia quietly floating near a house nearby. Curious, you decide to walk over and talk to her.

Before she was taken into Khrysos Temple by Alghar, Aurelia was a lone, wandering fox—young, curious, and without a place to call home. When Alghar found her, he offered her power and purpose: to guard his vast and endless riches. At first, Aurelia was grateful. The strength he gave her made her feel special, important, even proud.

For a time, she believed she had found her true calling. But as the years passed, that sense of purpose began to fade. The temple grew quiet, cold, and lifeless. Despite the power she held, Aurelia began to feel just as lonely and trapped as she had before.

Alghar would often bring her gifts—beautiful things from distant worlds. But they meant little to her. She had no use for them, no place to go, and no one to share with.

Now, with Alghar defeated, Aurelia is finally free. No longer bound to the temple or its treasure, she sets out to explore the world she never knew. For the first time, she travels not as a servant of greed, but as a seeker of beauty, freedom, and meaning.

Khrysos Temple is a sacred structure built by Alghar's followers—a place where he could rest and reside, accompanied by loyal devotees and unfortunate souls. Some volunteered; others were forcibly turned into his minions, now known as Temple Guards, Aristocrats, Tax Collectors, and more.

One day, the city surrounding the temple was destroyed by massive tides unleashed by Okeania. Believing the world didn’t need another great threat like Alghar, and already preoccupied with the forces of Light and Darkness, she acted swiftly. However, Khrysos Temple was protected by a powerful safety mechanism that shielded it from destruction. As a result, it was warped away to an unknown location, hidden somewhere deep within the universe.

The Avatar of Avarice is a spiritual manifestation born from the greed and avarice of all sapient beings—those capable of thought and desire. Its form resembles that of a wish-granting genie, but its personality is quite the opposite: selfish, manipulative, and driven by hunger for power.

For ages, the Avatar of Avarice had no name. That changed when it encountered a wealthy, greedy merchant named Alghar. Seeing an opportunity, the Avatar absorbed Alghar—along with his memories, personality, and knowledge—and adopted his identity.

Now known as Alghar, the Avatar of Avarice has ruled the world since ancient times, worshipped by many—some out of fear, others out of admiration.

One day, Alghar chose to enter a deep slumber, planning to awaken in a future era where the city surrounding his temple would have flourished. His goal was to gain even more followers—more pawns to manipulate and more soldiers to create.

However, when Alghar finally awoke, he was met with devastation. The once-magnificent city had vanished, and the lives of his people were extinguished. Enraged by his miscalculation, Alghar vowed revenge on those responsible. But to do so, he needed more power—and more pawns.

Thus, Alghar created a series of powerful artifacts, which he scattered across the universe. These artifacts took the form of treasures that aligned with the values of different worlds, each designed to tempt and persuade their victims. Anyone who interacted with an artifact repeatedly unwittingly entered a contract with Alghar, forfeiting their soul. These souls were then repurposed as soldiers in his growing army.

At present, Alghar—the Avatar of Avarice—is weaker than Atlas, largely due to the massive loss of followers and subjects during Okeania’s assault. His strength is tied directly to the belief, wealth, and devotion of his worshippers: the more people who revere him and embrace his ideals, the stronger he becomes.

But with Atlas now dead, Alghar has gained a surge of power, thanks to a loyal minion who delivered fragments of Atlas’s core.
