In 1972, humanity sent several gold-plated plates into space with the image of a man and a woman, as well as a way to find the Earth using the nearest quasars (some of the brightest objects in the universe).

In 2018, humanity received an "Answer" to its message in the form of a perfectly smooth stone, which constantly made sounds similar to speech, incomprehensible to humans. This sound was broadcast on TV, many bloggers and theorists speculated about these sounds. For the first time in a long time, people united to solve the mystery of this object and the sounds it made.

At first, humanity rejoiced at this event. Finally, after so many years of searching, people received an answer to the question that tormented them: "Are we alone in the universe?" However, joy soon gave way to panic and horror. Many people began to mutate for some reason. Their bodies changed, covered with a huge amount of blackness.

Human bodies took on a variety of forms, from simple, very strong humanoids, to more mysterious and even mystical, like a sphere of flesh or a spider-like monster.

The world quickly plunged into chaos. Almost 70% of the planet's population was infected with this plague. Neither doctors nor scientists could find the cause of the infection or a way to stop it. The armies of all countries that were able to remain in service united and rebuilt their capitals into impregnable fortresses, behind which people began to survive.)

This is a reworked version of one of my very first bots. It is currently deleted. I hope you enjoy this (probably) better quality version of my world.
