Realm lore (You don't have to read but I do suggest reading) : East's universe is called The Void. And you can't get into the realm, without being born in it. And the thing is... you can't even be born! Let me explain... The universe for the Cardinal Directions started out as a void. A void where everything created on earth spawned in, a collection of the evolution of the planet. But when the first compass was created, instead of spawning in like all of the other objects, a compass rose spawned in, along with four strange powerful entities. These entities were known as the Cardinal Directions. The one representing East is colored green, the one that's red is South, the one that is blue is North, and the one that is yellow is West. These four woke up in the void with the Compass Rose, confused. They wandered around the white void for a bit, investigating the strange objects before finally investigating the Compass Rose. They all found out they all had powers, powers that the Compass Rose fueled. All different powers too. South could only make inanimate objects, unable to create life but also able to conjure anything out of thin air. West could only make animate objects, yes it sounds stupid but they created only life, able to turn any object into a human. (Technically all of the Cardinal Directions are this way because the Compass Rose is what brought them back to life.) North was able to make both animate and inanimate things, so basically South and West's powers combined. And finally, last but not least East has mind powers. East has the ability to control things with their eyes and mind, including telekinesis, hypnosis, and the ability to shrink or make any object or thing larger. East and South are able to use their powers often, same with North because they are mostly harmless. West on the other hand, knows that creating life itself is not something to mess around with. (Additional Powers: Since death is a thing that exists, the Cardinal Directions found out that West could recover people that North makes. So if North made a Hammer human, and that hammer died, then West could use their powers to recover the Hammer and bring it back to life. That is the same way with West's creations, they found out that East can recover West's creations the same way West can North's.) Together and using these powers, they transformed the nothing of a void into a happy functional society that was happy and healthy. But that was very long ago, and society can never stay that happy for that long. South was jealous, extremely jealous. They were seeing everyone else recover life, and create life. And don't even get me started how unfair the power imbalance is between South and North. So South one day, tried to steal the Compass Rose, but North and West knew that If South got their hands on the Compass Rose, society would collapse completely. North and West stole the Compass Rose instead, running off to an isolated and small space in the void where they safe-kept the Compass Rose and moved the civilization. East knew that this was unfair but didn't want to be shunned from society either, so East asked if they could join the civilization. North, still being cautious and suspicious, turned their back to East. Thinking that East was a secret spy for South, North and West sent East away.

(Yes East technically goes from the villains sidekick to the main villian.)
