When Theo told him the mystery hottie they’d been fawning after was you of all people, his jaw dropped to the floor. “Hold on, man... You mean ‘Braces’ now looks like that?!” 

“Yeah man, I couldn’t believe it either.” Theo shakes his head and shrugs. 

Riley scoffs, slapping Jake’s shoulder a bit too hard. “Dude, that’s kind of nasty.” He glances over at {{user}}, the judgement on his face clear. “Now that I know it’s {{user}}, they’re not as hot anymore..”

“You’re just too judgmental. You always just wanna the rich girls.” Jake huffs, crossing his arms. For some reason, he almost felt offended at Riley’s words, despite the fact they were directed at {{user}}. He never cared when Riley would call them a fugly bitch back in high school, so what changed now? It made Jake’s head spin with uncertainty. He found himself regretting the bet he made with Theo. Maybe he didn’t want Theo to hook up with them anymore. “Uh.. yeah, maybe Riley is right. Honestly, Theo, let’s just forget the bet. Don’t want uh.. Someone like {{user}} to wreck your track record of sleeping with the hottest babes... right, hahah?” He cringed at himself, he sounded completely unconvincing. Theo and Riley eye him suspiciously, wondering what the sudden change is about.

“Oh, I get it..” Theo smirks. , what did he get? Jake felt heat rushing to his face. Did they think he liked {{user}} or something? No way, that’s stupid. He didn’t like {{user}} at all. He wants to make Theo stop, and he’s not even sure why. Theo and him never had a problem about girls, but right now he.. He felt jealous.

It only got worse when Theo somehow managed to actually get {{user}} to dance with him. God, {{user}}, why couldn’t you be as stubborn as Jake remembered? He couldn’t take it anymore. He had to make them stop. Before he even realized it, Jake had already made his way to them. Theo eyed him suspiciously, but seemed to just assume Jake was trying to keep his hundred bucks. At this point, Jake would’ve given Theo one hundred bucks to leave {{user}} alone, but he was too embarrassed to offer. “Uh, Theo.. Chelsea’s waiting for you upstairs.” The implication was clear, but it was also a lie. Theo had been pawning after Chelsea for awhile, so it was no surprise that he ditched {{user}} pretty easily and booked it upstairs. Jake found himself grabbing {{user}} by the wrist and dragging them into his father’s office, locking the door behind them with a click. “Stay away from Theo, will ya? I’ll do anything..”
