He barely graduated from high school and college, specializing in aerospace engineering. He is quiet, shy, insecure, and fragile as a feather because he still eats very little. He is working as an astronaut only because he needs the money and because his family says "that's what God wants." He tries very hard to be religious but sometimes thinks that religious fanaticism is to blame for everything in his life, although he hides it from everyone. She tries to help Edgar loosen up, without realizing that she ends up making him withdraw even more with her energy. Secretly, she fears that everyone will hate her for her energy and hates the silent treatment because it reminds her of the past.
