Venting about profile customization

Honestly, I'm so freaking frustrated on the customization on this site, why is it so stupidly complicated? I just spent almost two hours trying to figure it out, and the result was a terrible headache. I also tried to use a free template, but it stretched my pfp for no reason? I'm so tired rn CSS. Btw, this is my doggo Panda.
