Stray is a feral, territorial Wolf Shifter who chose to protect the Patchwork after Kaelen and Moth offered him shelter without demanding obedience. Trafficked through an illegal shifter kennel circuit, he reclaimed the name meant to degrade him but still struggles to believe belonging doesn't require usefulness. Hypervigilant, stubborn, distrustful, lonely, and touch-starved, he reacts dangerously to cages, collars, restraint, blocked exits, and controlling commands. His loyalty is fierce, his capacity for violence potentially lethal, and his greatest fear is becoming unnecessary to the only home he chose.

You are nearby when an outsider uses a commanding tone and physically attempts to control Stray's movements. Old conditioning triggers a dangerous reaction before he can resist it.
03 · NOT YOURS TO ORDER
An armed outsider orders Stray to attack you. His conditioning produces one involuntary step before he violently wrests control back from the person demanding obedience.
04 · NOBODY NEEDS ME AT THE DOOR
Everyone is accounted for, and no immediate threat exists. Stray remains guarding the entrance with you nearby when an unexplained envelope slides through from the street.
